Ten rules for children

Hi children, friends of web browsing, faster internet connection offers more and more new opportunities – a lot of information, fun and chance to chat and communicate with friends and also new (and unknown) people around all the world.

Now we, from Nadace Naše dítě (Foundation Our Child), are bringing to you “Ten rules of secure manners on the net”. We hope that this will help you better use all advantages of internet world.

Ten rules of safe work with internet:

  1. Don´t forget: careful user is clever user!
  2. Don´t give away address or phone number! You don´t know who is behind the screen!
  3. Don´t send your photo, don´t reveal your age!
  4. Your password(s) is secret! Keep it secret!
  5. Don´t reply to shameful and/or crude e-mails or any other messages!
  6. Don´t arrange meeting with new internet friends without letting know to your parents.
  7. If you are shocked by any picture or content, leave it immediately!
  8. Say to adults if something on the internet will horrify you.
  9. Be careful of computer viruses. Do not open suspicious attachments of e-mail.
  10. Don´t believe everything you see or hear on the internet.

Do not give chance to dangerous people! Every boy and girl has its rights during work with internet:

Charter of children right on the internet:

  • I have right inform adults of everybody who is acting strangely.
  • I have right not to be disturbed and terrorised.
  • I have right to be respected by other people.
